When you live in California long enough, you get to learn about the different regions. Each region in California has its own unique flavor, and Southern California, which is a sub-region itself, has its own different enclaves. In LA, everybody wants to be a movie star and drive a Porsche and tell you about their latest project. The Inland Empire is full of working-class people who fled the LA suburbs to find a decent place to live. They are real, but often less attractive. Some men say the women get less attractive the further you get from water.

Orange County has its own unique flavor, too. It’s full of wealthy white people and is very image conscious. But it’s a different image from LA. In Orange County, the image is suburban luxury and high-end lifestyles. It’s a lot of Range Rovers, BMW SUVs and big homes, its wealthy men with trophy wives. It’s such an Orange County cliché to see a wealthy, middle-aged guy with a woman half his age. They are a dime a dozen.

And that attitude sums up the Orange County duality. Conservative on the outside, but freaky on the inside. Even though the region has a reputation for being conservative, there are also a lot of swing clubs in the area and sex parties.
